Dr. Scott Emch

Like many veterinarians, I decided early in life (2nd grade) that veterinary medicine was the career for me. I owned and enjoyed several pets growing up and enjoyed several years working at a local vet hospital while in high school. I graduated from Purdue's Veterinary School in 1989 and have been practicing small animal medicine ever since. After working at two practices as an associate I began to work as a relief veterinarian (sort of a "substitute teacher" role, filling in for local vets who were on vacation or needed part time help) and have been doing so for the last 14 years.

I began Well Pets in 2000 with the help of a man named Bill Hart. We realized that a substantial portion of the pet owning population did not obtain regular veterinary care for their pets and rather than ignore these owners, we thought it better to reach out to them by having clinics where many of them already shopped for their pet's food and supplies. Although I had to assume full ownership of Well Pets early on when Bill moved to Florida, the idea we began has flourished. Almost 7 years later, Well Pets has grown from 3 locations to over a dozen and serves pet owners all around the Indianapolis area. I enjoy Well Pets because I enjoy people and their pets, I enjoy getting to know and educate my clients, I enjoy working with a wonderful team of veterinary caregivers, and I enjoy serving others. Well Pets has allowed me to work with all sorts of different people and hopefully, not only take care of their pet's basic needs, but also introduce them to the many wonderful services and benefits that the more traditional veterinary community can provide to them and their pets.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I live in Fishers with my wife Mary Anne, and our two children, David and Rebecca, and our 2 dogs and 3 cats. We enjoy participating in our kids activities, being involved in our church, having family movie and game nights, and vacationing at the beach!

You can find me at many clinics:
Specialty Pet Foods
Petco in Fishers
For the Love of Dogs stores (Carmel, Plainfield, and Irvington)
Pet Supplies Plus stores (Broad Ripple, Noblesville and Rockville Rd)

Dr. Ruth Landau
Before formally entering the world of veterinary medicine at Purdue University, my travels took me coast to coast (Philadelphia to Seattle) and far away (Middle East, western Europe and Argentina). These travel experiences afforded me opportunities to work with camels, horses, cattle and goats, as well as dogs and cats, and gain language skills in Spanish, French & American Sign Language. If you're looking for a vet with lots of frequent flyer miles quien habla espanol, bring your perro y gatito to me at Petco in Speedway or Pet Supplies Plus in Greenwood. Nos vemos!

Dr. Shannon Kiley
I graduated from Purdue Veterinary School in 1991. I enjoy being a vet because I enjoy interacting with people and sharing in their relationships with their pets. I have a special interest in animal behavior and competitive dog sports. At home I have three flatcoated retrievers who I show in conformation, obedience and field events and one trakehner gelding (a horse). I've worked with Well Pets clinics for several years now, and you can find me at Petco on Keystone Avenue in Indy or at the Petco on Michigan Road in Carmel.

Dr. Sarah Tieman-Sievers
I am a 1991 graduate of Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine. I currently work as a relief Veterinarian. This means I cover for different Veterinarians when they are gone from their practice for vacation, conferences, or maternity leave. I primarily cover practices around Indianapolis but I do go as far north as South Bend and as far south as Bedford. I have been doing this type of work for 3 years and really enjoy the schedule because it gives me time off to be with my family. I am married to another Veterinarian that was a classmate of mine at Purdue. Guess what we talk about at dinner? We have a full household - 2 girls (4 and 11 years old), 1 dog, 4 cats (including one that is 17 years old and I have had since my senior year of Veterinary School), and one gigantic sucker fish who has survived 5 years despite our care. I started covering Well Pets Clinics 3 years ago and have enjoyed meeting all the new people and pets. I hope I have been able to provide more basic care information to our clients to help their pets lead a more healthy and happy life. You can find me at the Petco in Greenwood.
